Different scales. Different disciplines. The same curiosity about what’s possible.
Cyclone brings design development and composite manufacture together. We work across automotive, architecture and custom projects, exploring what the material and our capabilities can make possible for your application.
01
Automotive
For the way it looks. And the way it works.
Custom composite parts, shaped around your vehicle and your idea. Bring us an existing component, a drawing or a detail you want to develop. We’ll work through fit, materials, mounting and finish with you.
Our ongoing FLOW project explores how an outdoor fan unit can become part of the architecture. Sculpted surfaces and a stone-like finish give a functional object a more considered presence. Fit, airflow, access and installation remain part of its development.

Beyond the expected.
A different application? That’s a good starting point.
A custom product, housing or component. Tell us what you want to achieve; together we’ll assess feasibility, material choices and a practical manufacturing route.
Every project starts with a feasibility discussion. Performance, safety, regulatory requirements and verification are agreed for the specific application.
02 / FROM POSSIBILITY TO PART
Creative in the thinking. Considered in the making.
01 / UNDERSTAND
Start with the purpose.
What must the part do? We establish the application, interfaces, environment, quantity and what a successful result needs to demonstrate.
02 / DEVELOP
Bring the design together.
We develop the geometry and consider materials, tooling, assembly and finish together, so the design has a practical route to manufacture.
03 / MAKE & CHECK
Turn the design into a part.
We manufacture to the agreed scope. Inspection and any required testing are defined against the project’s acceptance criteria.
DIGITAL DESIGN / PHYSICAL MAKING
The tools behind the process.
We use CAD, CAM, CNC machining and 3D printing alongside our composite work, choosing the right route for the geometry, quantity and finish each project needs.
CAD Design & development
Develop the geometry, refine interfaces and work through how the part fits into the wider assembly.
CAM Manufacturing preparation
Translate the design into machining strategies and toolpaths for CNC production.
CNC Machining & tooling
Machine parts, patterns and tooling as required by the project and the selected manufacturing route.
3D printing Prototypes & production aids
Explore form and fit, iterate prototypes and make useful fixtures or manufacturing aids.
